Carla Shore
Principal
Carla S. Shore APR FCPRS is a senior communications strategist with extensive experience helping organizations navigate complex issues, strengthen their public presence and communicate with clarity and confidence. She is an accredited (APR) by the Canadian Public Relations Society and is also a member of the Society’s College of Fellows.
A senior strategist who understands the big picture, Carla specializes in communications audits, issues management, spokesperson training, facilitation, digital marketing strategies and communications planning. Her career in BC and Ontario has included work with school districts, universities, federal government departments, provincial agencies, software companies, large corporations, PR agencies and non-profit groups. She is fortunate to have worked with a huge variety of industries, from education to technology, from sustainability to consumer products, from finance to health, from youth to seniors, from construction to insurance. She also led communications for the Cohen Commission of Inquiry into the Decline of the Sockeye Salmon on the Fraser River and for the Vancouver School District. As a strategist, she also brings extensive experience in helping clients manage public consultations, engagement and community building.
Carla has a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University and a Masters of Arts in Environmental Education and Communications from Royal Roads University. A talented writer and editor, Carla is a plain language evangelist and is particularly adept at translating subject-specific text into English. She is also fluent in spoken French.
Carla has also taught and developed curriculum for marketing, communications and public relations at several post-secondary institutions, including the University of the Fraser Valley, Thompson Rivers University, Langara College, Corpus Christi College at UBC and Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

Nina Winham
Consultant
Nina Winham MBA PhD has a background that combines journalism, marketing and management skills in for-profit and non-profit settings. Her career has focused on helping organizations succeed by understanding and engaging the communities they serve.
Nina spent 10 years as a journalist with CBC Radio, honing her storytelling craft and gaining union experience as a VP of the Canadian Media Guild. An MBA led to work in sustainability, social marketing and engagement, with jobs at an ethical bank, Ecotrust Canada, and David Suzuki Foundation. After work with Junxion Strategy she launched her solo consultancy, New Climate Strategies, specializing in marketing and public engagement for positive community outcomes. Diverse clients have included BC Hydro, MEC, Surrey Art Gallery, business improvement associations, municipalities and school districts, among others. Nina has taught at Langara School of Management and in programs offered by Cape Breton University, SFU and Dalhousie. Her service on non-profit boards includes Whistler Centre for Sustainability, Forest Stewardship Council of Canada, and Canadian Business for Social Responsibility. Her PhD thesis focused on care ethics and inequality in the workplace.

Julie Rogers
Consultant
Julie Rogers APR is a strategic communicator, speaker and trainer with over 20 years of award-winning experience in public sector communications. She has led communications in four BC municipalities where she established strategies, policies and engagement practices that increased transparency, supported council decision-making and strengthened community trust. Through Julie Rogers Consulting she works with municipal governments, school boards and non-profits across Western Canada delivering practical strategies in public engagement, crisis communications, media relations, and digital outreach, along with workshops and training that build staff and leadership capacity. She teaches with the MATI Advanced Communications Program and is an Accredited Public Relations professional and active member of the Canadian Public Relations Society.
